Born 1947 in Helsinki

Graduated from Helsinki University of Technology, Department of Architecture in 1975

Started her own office along with her husband, architect Simo Paavilainen, in 1977

Full employment in the office since 1977

Three daughters Kukka 1976, Marja 1978 and Jonna 1981 with Simo Paavilainen

AWARDS

Glass Structure of the Year 2006, The Office building of the Local Government Pensions Institution, by the Finnish Flat Glass Association

Building of the Year 2002, The Tritonia Academic Library in Vaasa,
by Senate Properties, (The government owned enterprise taking care of the properties of Finnish State)

Honourable Mention in The interior design work of the year 2002, The Tritonia Academic Library in Vaasa,
by Finnish interior architects SIO, together with Simo Paavilainen and Lauri Olin

The interior design work of the year 1998, The Embassy of Finland in Tallinn,
by Finnish interior architects SIO, together with Simo Paavilainen and Lauri Olin

Building of the Year 1994, Vaasa University, first building stage,
by the Finnish National Board of Public Building

Honourable Mention, Munkkiniemi Health Centre and Service Building,
by the Public Works Department of Helsinki City in 1992

State Award for Architecture and Community Planning, together with Simo Paavilainen in 1991

Awarded along with Simo Paavilainen the architectural prize by  "Tiili" – the professional magazine of the Finnish brick industry in 1983
